What is V2 Beauty Booster?
The V2 Beauty Booster is an innovative treatment which essentially combines skin needling with the injection of hydrating dermal fillers. The result is a plumper, firmer, more hydrated and radiant appearance.
The product injected is a patented formula. It contains hyaluronic acid, amino acids, antioxidants, minerals and vitamins. All of these ingredients are naturally present in our skin, so nothing foreign is injected. Hyaluronic acid attracts water molecules to bond with, essentially adding volume to the face. The treatment has an added advantage in that it stimulates collagen regeneration. The treatment has been shown to be suitable for all skin types.
For best results, it is recommended that you have three treatments separated by weekly intervals.
What is involved in the Beauty Booster Treatment?
Before the Beauty Booster treatment starts Dr Targett will numbing cream to your face. This will take approximately thirty minutes to start numb the skin and make the treatment more tolerable.
The Beauty Booster treatment uses the V2 Injector to inject small microinjections of the patented natural product (term forbidden by TGA) product into the skin, evenly over the whole face as well as along the wrinkle lines.
The V2 Injector has revolutionised the way that filler can be injected into the skin. The V2 Injector is an essential part of this treatment because it allows fine control of the amount of filler ingredient injected as well as exact control over the depth it is injected. This is extremely important for optimal results to be achieved.
The treatment is precise, fast and extremely effective. There should be minimal discomfort or pain during the injections due to the numbing cream applied initially. Also, the product does contain a small amount of xylocaine numbing agent.
The patient should consider the treatment to be regenerative and ongoing in nature. Over time the fibroblasts within the dermis will create more collagen and elastin producing a thicker and more elastic skin. The results can usually be seen to last for approximately twelve months before retreatment needs to be considered.
Will there be any down time?
The treatment may result in bruising that may last anything up to four days post-procedure. There may also be some puffiness and swelling immediately after the treatment, this should subside after a day. It is advised to schedule a few days downtime after the procedure or schedule the treatment on a Friday evening before the weekend.

What can I expect after ther treatment?
There is virtually no downtime following the procedure, although it is not unusual to experience mild tenderness and in some cases light bruising in the injected areas following treatment. These effects generally subside shortly after. It is not uncommon for a top-up treatment to be performed two to four weeks following the initial treatment as this ensures the accuracy and longevity of the desired effects.

Most patients do not find our beauty booster treatment painful, as a topical numbing cream is applied 30 minutes before the treatment begins. Some serums and fillers can also contain a local anaesthetic to help minimise and prevent any discomfort.
There are no severe risks associated with this treatment, but there is always the potential for risks to occur, whether minimal or otherwise. It is normal for small bumps to appear in the treated area where injections were made, which should subside over the next couple of days, as well as some bruising and swelling.
Rarer side effects of the treatment include:
- Bacterial infection
- Persistent raised bumps or swelling

The treatment is suitable for any individual of any skin type, but there are some contraindications to the beauty booster treatment. Although there is very minimal recovery required, we advise patients of the following aftercare instructions to ensure the best possible outcome of the treatment:
• Avoid vigorous activity for 24-48 hours.
• Avoid exposure to hot temperatures such as saunas, hot spas, steam rooms, and hot showers for up to 48 hours.
• Do not consume alcohol for at least 24 hours post-treatment.
• Do not apply any pressure to the face on the first day after your treatment.
• Do not use any active skincare products containing vitamin C or retinoids for the first day.
To ensure long-lasting and enhanced results, we recommend a course of three treatments roughly three to six weeks apart. Once the sessions are completed, you may only need one maintenance session per year to continue receiving youthful, radiant, and rejuvenated results.
