Earlobe Rejuvenation Adelaide

You have most likely been wearing earrings over a very long period of time.  As part of the natural ageing process, like most areas of the face, the earlobes become deflated due to loss of collagen and elastin.  This does create a problem when you have beautiful earrings that you want to wear, but your ears don’t look quite so lovely. Earlobe rejuvenation at ACM is here to help.  At Advanced Cosmetic medicine, Dr Targett is able to store your earlobes to create well-shaped earlobes that are plump and youthful in appearance.

We look forward to your visit.

Ear Lobe Rejuvenation Filler Treatment

earlobe rejuvenation

After the initial consultation with Dr Targett and when your treatment plan has been agreed upon, Dr Targett will administer dermal fillers to your earlobes.  The fillers are injected in a manner to achieve symmetry, fill any defects and create volume to the earlobe.  Dermal filler contains hyaluronic acid as well as some local anaesthetic. The aesthetic will help to make the procedure as comfortable as possible.  The hyaluronic acid binds to water to create volume to the earlobe which can last up to nine months. Dermal fillers can be dissolved with hyaluronidase and can be reversed at any stage. After the earlobe rejuvenation procedure is completed you will be able to see results immediately.

What  Can I Expect After The Treatment?

After having earlobe rejuvenation dermal filler treatment there will naturally be some swelling and redness to the area treated.  This should dissipate over the next few days. As with all cosmetic injectables, bruising is always a minor risk.  Try to avoid non-essential blood-thinning drugs before undergoing the procedure.  If bruising does occur it should clear within a week and it can be concealed with makeup.

Why Are Ear Lobe Fillers The Latest Craze?

Injecting your ears with hyaluronic acid does appear to be the latest thing! It is becoming increasingly popular as a way to plump up the ear lobes and to lift stretched and slack earlobes.  Dr Targett says, “You only need a very small amount injected strategically around the perched hole. The injections help to prevent your delicate earlobes from tearing and also help to provide support and cushioning for heavy jewellery.  A five minute virtually painless procedure can restore your ears lobes so that you can step out in style the next time you wear your favourite jewellery.”
