  • Clinical Records: Clinical photographs (for progress monitoring), treatment plans, and doctor/nurse consultation notes.
  • Financial Information: Payment details and transaction history.
  • Digital Data: IP addresses and cookie data if you interact with our website.

2. How We Collect Your Information

We collect information directly from you through:

  • In-clinic registration forms and medical history questionnaires.
  • Face-to-face consultations with Dr. Rahma Targett or our clinical staff.
  • Online booking systems or inquiries via our website.
  • Telehealth or phone communications.

In some cases, we may collect information from third parties, such as your GP or other specialists, but only with your express consent.

3. Purpose of Collection, Use, and Disclosure

We use your information for the following primary purposes:

  • Clinical Care: To assess your suitability for treatments (e.g., laser therapy, injectables, or FUE hair transplants) and to provide those services safely.
  • Communication: To send appointment reminders and follow-up care instructions.
  • Administrative: For billing, processing payments, and internal record-keeping.
  • Legal Compliance: To meet medical record-keeping obligations under South Australian and Australian law.

Disclosure: We do not sell your data. We only disclose your information to:

  • Other healthcare providers involved in your care (with your consent).
  • IT service providers and booking platforms that assist our operations (under strict confidentiality agreements).
  • Regulatory bodies or law enforcement where required by law.

4. Direct Marketing & Social Media

  • Marketing: We only send promotional materials (newsletters/offers) if you have opted in. You may opt out at any time via the “unsubscribe” link or by contacting the clinic.
  • Clinical Photos: Before-and-after photos are only shared on social media or our website if you have signed a specific Optional Marketing Consent form. You may withdraw this consent at any time.

5. Automated Decision-Making (ADM)

In compliance with 2024 reforms, we notify you that ACM does not use fully automated AI systems to make significant clinical decisions about your health. All treatment plans are determined through human clinical assessment by Dr. Targett or our qualified medical team.

6. Data Security and Retention

We take “reasonable steps” (technical and organisational) to protect your data from misuse, loss, or unauthorised access:

  • Digital: We use encrypted medical record software with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
  • Physical: Paper records are stored in locked cabinets or securely digitised and shredded.
  • Retention: Health records are generally kept for a minimum of 7 years (or until a minor reaches age 25) as required by law.

7. Your Rights: Access and Correction

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of your medical records. (A nominal administrative fee may apply).
  • Correction: Ask us to update or correct inaccurate information.
  • Anonymity: You may interact with us anonymously or via a pseudonym for general inquiries, though it is usually “impracticable” to provide medical treatment without your real identity.

8. Serious Invasions of Privacy & Doxxing

ACM strictly adheres to the new laws regarding the “Statutory Tort for Serious Invasion of Privacy.” We ensure that all private consultations and clinical images are handled with the highest level of seclusion and confidentiality.
