5. Automated Decision-Making (ADM)
In compliance with 2024 reforms, we notify you that ACM does not use fully automated AI systems to make significant clinical decisions about your health. All treatment plans are determined through human clinical assessment by Dr. Targett or our qualified medical team.
6. Data Security and Retention
We take “reasonable steps” (technical and organisational) to protect your data from misuse, loss, or unauthorised access:
- Digital: We use encrypted medical record software with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
- Physical: Paper records are stored in locked cabinets or securely digitised and shredded.
- Retention: Health records are generally kept for a minimum of 7 years (or until a minor reaches age 25) as required by law.
7. Your Rights: Access and Correction
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of your medical records. (A nominal administrative fee may apply).
- Correction: Ask us to update or correct inaccurate information.
- Anonymity: You may interact with us anonymously or via a pseudonym for general inquiries, though it is usually “impracticable” to provide medical treatment without your real identity.

ACM strictly adheres to the new laws regarding the “Statutory Tort for Serious Invasion of Privacy.” We ensure that all private consultations and clinical images are handled with the highest level of seclusion and confidentiality.
