DESCRIPTION

Laser Bruise Treatment - Adelaide

Excel V Laser 532nm is a new method of bruise treatment.  The results are miraculously fast.  Even straight after the treatment, you will notice a significant resolution of bruises.

An unfortunate consequence of cosmetic injections is the risk of bruising.  This often leads to dissatisfied customers that inevitably blame the injector.  At Advanced Cosmetic Medicine, we minimise the risk of bruising by using the Accuvein device for visualising veins under the skin.  This allows the injector to avoid large veins when administering dermal fillers and anti-wrinkle injections.   As an added benefit if in the rare circumstance that a small bruise does occur ACM can now offer you the Excel V laser to help dissolve the bruise and help it heal much more quickly.

How it works

What are bruises?

Bruises are caused by a build-up of blood just underneath the skin surface following some kind of trauma.

How long do bruises take to heal?

Bruises can take anything up to two weeks to fully resolve. For patients that have had facial cosmetic injections, this can be particularly worrying.  The last thing they want is for people to know that they have been having cosmetic injections.

What Are The Treatment Options to Remove a Bruise?

Treatments prior to the advent of the Excel V laser have proven to be ineffective.  Topical treatments such as hirudoid ointment and arnica cream do not give reliable results and do not work fast enough.  The Excel V laser can now offer reliable and much faster resolution of bruises.

How Long Does It Take For The Excel V to Resolve a Bruise?

You will see a significant fading of the bruise after just one treatment and then waiting for a day.  You may see a small bruise clear in the space of 24 hours.  Deeper and darker bruises will resolve two to three times faster by using laser treatments.  A dark bruise might take up to three weeks to resolve naturally, but with the use of the Excel V laser, you may see it resolve in the space of three to five days.  Because the bruise fades very quickly it will be much easier to cover the bruise with makeup concealer.

How Many treatments are Needed to Resolve a Bruise?

For a light coloured bruise, you may need only one treatment.   A dark bruise can be treated by laser very 24 hours. Usually, a maximum of three sessions will be required.

How Does Excel V Laser Work To Resolve Bruises?

The Excel V Laser is a vascular-specific laser that works by emitting a fixed wavelength of light (532nm) to target haemoglobin.  This is not an immediate bruise fix, but it does speed up the healing process so that the bruise is gone within 24 to 48 hours.  It works by vaporising the blood cells just underneath the skin surface. The actual procedure takes only a few minutes and is virtually painless.
